A wee recipe to keep you all warm…

My recipe is made up from something I ate in Aberdeen at the weekend – hope you like fish! This is a kind of kedgeree….
Take a couple of pieces of smoked haddock and poach them till they flake easily in some water.
Keep the water and then use it to cook some rice – a mugful is enough for two.
Make sure all the water is then either cooked off or drained off.
Melt some butter in the rice and add the flaked fish with some leeks and onions (which you have sauted in some butter with a little onion) a couple of dessertspoons of pesto and then add pepper to taste.
Serve immediately garnished with some chopped boiled egg
Gorgeous with some nice bread! (or with a gorgeous person who eats the other half!)
