The World’s Media Hasten to Haiti

Following the devastation caused by the earthquake earlier this week in Haiti, the world’s media are hitching lifts on aid planes to reach the island.

Once there they are using whatever means they can to get the story out to the world.

The New York Times has an article on this and in particular highlights the way that even the professionals have been using all manner of social media including Twitter to tell the story.

It also has some wonderful photos from GeoEye showing the devastation of some of the buildings there.
