According to The Guardian shares in the US footwear firm have hit the pavement.

The problem seems to be that the boldly unfashionable fashion item are simply too hard-wearing.

Economic conditions are blamed for the downturn in trade, but my personal take on it is that everyone already has a pair and can’t wear them out. If you are at all passionate about these lovely comfy shoes then go buy another pair – in a different colour! And buy those sweet little stick-ons that decorate your footwear to make it say mine mine mine! That way we will save the company for another generation.

It worked for Michael Jackson – his CD sales went through the roof when his fans were motivated…..why not do the same for the colourful Crocs?
